Faye Brookes shares peak at wedding dress shopping and engagement party
Faye Brookes has wasted no time in getting on with wedding plans after announcing her engagement last month.
The Coronation Street star, 35, revealed in January that she is set to marry her partner Iwan Lewis after a whirlwind four-month relationship.
Following her announcement, Faye enjoyed a spot of wedding dress shopping over the weekend and excitedly gave fans a glimpse of the bridal looks on Instagram Stories.
The actress posted a brief clip of a selection of white wedding dresses in various designs, hanging from a gold rail.
In an image shared afterwards, a bouquet of white lilies were pictured beside a trailing staircase in Ingleside House in the Cotswolds.
This was the location where Faye also celebrated her engagement party at the weekend, as footage of the occasion was shown in a reel posted on Monday.
In the clip, a spacious room with pink chairs and wooden flooring was seen decorated with more white lilies, which were placed along a mantelpiece and across a large white table, along with rows of candles.
In one part of the footage, Faye was spotted with her fiancé Iwan taking a mirror selfie, as they dressed smartly in matching neutrals for the occasion.
Faye wore a camel embroidered maxi dress with a plunging neckline and a light grey open cardigan, while Iwan sported a grey checked blazer, black T-shirt and indigo jeans.
“My whole heart for my whole life…," Faye captioned.
“Thank you so much to @blueandboheme for making our engagement party unforgettably beautiful.”
Speaking on her engagement last month, Faye said: "We’re thrilled to announce that Iwan and I are engaged.
"He proposed on New Year’s Eve. I am going to be marrying my best friend in the world after 16 years of friendship.”
Faye first met Iwan in 2011 during a stint on the West End show Legally Blonde.
The newly-engaged pair began dating in October of last year and it is speculated that they recently moved in together.
Faye was seen in photos shared with OK! in January showing off her sparkling engagement ring, following the surprise proposal.
The actress found fame after appearing as Kate Connor in Coronation Street from 2015 to 2019.
Faye has starred in several in musicals following her soap role, including Chicago playing Roxie Hart, and competed in the 13th series of Dancing on Ice in 2021.
