  • Lovato’s Snapchat account was hacked and her photos were shared on her Snapchat account on Thursday night

  • Within seconds, the photos then appeared on Lovato’s Snapchat account
  • Her team had them taken down but she has not yet commented

Naked photographs of Demi Lovato were posted on her Snapchat account on Thursday night by hackers.

Late on Thursday, users noticed that someone had taken over her account and teased ‘nudes’ by telling followers to sign up to a Discord server to access them.

Discord is a chat app which bills itself as a similar product to Skype.

Within seconds of urging her followers to sign up to the server, several naked images – purportedly of Lovato – appeared on her Snapchat account.

The star and her team are now working to have them removed from the internet.

The latest: Naked photographs of Demi Lovato, 27, were posted to the singer’s social media by hackers on Thursday. She was snapped last year in Las Vegas

Details: The hackers also posted a directive to a separate group under the title ‘Discord’

According to The Blast, the group of hackers who targeted the performer is the same that has claimed credit for similar efforts aimed at actress Chloe Grace Moretz, as well as a hacking of the Twitter page of the company’s CEO, Jack Dorsey.

It is not the first time she has faced a leaked-nude scandal.

An intimate hacked photo of the singer surfaced online in March of 2017, but Lovato brushed it off.

‘I love how everyone’s freaking out about one picture,’ Lovato wrote. ‘It’s not nude and it’s just cleavage,’ she said.

On Friday, her fans supported her amid the latest scandal and condemned the hackers for posting them.

Representatives for the star did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s inquiries.

The singer is currently mourning the loss of a friend who died of an overdose.

Earlier this week, she shared a photo of a tattoo she got in honor of him. Lovato also recently opened up about her struggle with body image by sharing an unedited photo of herself in a bikini.

Lovato is the latest in a string of stars to have been targeted by hackers.

Jennifer Lawrence was famously victimized by a group who posted her nude photographs online in 2014.
