David and Victoria Beckham take kids to Lapland UK for luxurious Christmas

While thousands of families are stuck at Gatwick Airport amid the horrendous delays caused by drones , Victoria Beckham and her husband David Beckham have had a decidedly more relaxing trip at home.

The couple put on a united front after months of rumours about their marriage as they took their four children – sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper – to Lapland UK, near Ascot in Berkshire, for a pre-Christmas treat.

Joining them were Jackie and Tony Adams, Victoria’s parents, who helped them look after their enormous brood.

Both Posh and Becks captured the magical trip on Instagram, revealing that they’d been ice-skating on a fir-fringed rink and even made their own stuffed penguins.

"Very proud of my penguin I just made. And he’s actually eating a fish, not smoking," she joked as she showed off her new toy to her followers.

Proud dad David, 43, shared a snap of seven-year-old Harper watching on intently as Father Christmas perused his list of names for hers.

"Come on Santa we know she is on the Good list," he captioned the sweet shot, before posting one of him and eldest son Brooklyn, 19, calling him his "handsome boy".

He and Victoria took the kids to a play set amid the fairy-lit woods, where elves dressed up in red and green outfits read out fairy stories and got the audience to join in their songs.

And Becks got called up on stage to help one elf with his penguin-based problem, with Victoria captioning their picture together: "He enjoyed it so much he had a cuddle with an elf!"

"Fun day out," she said next to a shot of all four children posing with some of the woodland creatures.

And, on a video of David helping Harper to stick Smarties on their gingerbread man, she quipped: "Not sure who is having more fun decorating cookies."

It’s the first time she’s acknowledged her husband since an awkward moment at the Fashion Awards earlier this month.

Amid speculation about the state of their marriage, Victoria and David were spotted sitting with their backs turned to each other – despite being sat at the same table – as they opted to chat to other guests instead.

An insider at the glamorous bash at London’s Royal Albert Hall, claimed that Victoria looked ‘furious’ as attentions turned to David – despite her being the one nominated for a design award.
