TV stars are backing top agent Terry Mills to win his Covid battle after being struck down with the killer bug.

He is fighting for his life in a Mexican hospital after falling ill while away on a business trip.

Terry is battling at Playa Med Hospital in Cancun – but the costs of medical care are "astronomical", his family say.

A GoFundMe has raised nearly £20,000 of its £100,000 target to help with the cost of his treatment.

The deal broker, 38, has worked with some of the biggest names in the business.

This Morning’s Alison Hammond and EastEnders stars Natalie Cassidy, Gillian Taylforth and Letitia Dean have all donated.

But more is needed to keep his fight going.

Organiser Sarah Robertson has laid bare the situation with insurance to The Mirror and says friends and family are "frightened" by the situation.

She has appealed for further help to meet the sky-high costs.

She said: “Our very dear friend Terry is fighting for his life in a hospital in Cancun, Mexico, having been struck with Covid during a business trip which has now developed into pneumonia.

“Insurance will not cover beyond the first 24 hours of care.

"The hospital have told family and friends if he was to have any chance of survival he had to be induced into a coma and placed on a ventilator for a minimum of ten days, plus recovery care beyond that, and a flight to bring them home to England.

“The cost is astronomical but you can’t put a price on a person’s life and we are at the mercy of the Playa Med Hospital in Cancun.

"We’ve clubbed together and thrown everything we have at this so far in order to buy Terry a hospital bed where he has been receiving oxygen and antibiotics, but his condition worsened and the doctors said he had to be put on a ventilator if he is to survive this.

“We’re frightened. We want to be there holding Terry's hand but we're not allowed and we need to raise another £100,000 within the next ten days to pay for this life-saving treatment.
