Bruce Springsteen Earns Record-Tying Seventh No. 1 On Billboard’s Top Rock Albums Chart

Bruce Springsteen‘s new album Letter to You debuted atop Billboard‘s Top Rock Albums chart dated November 7, giving the rock legend his seventh No. on the chart.

Springsteen is now tied with John Mayer for the most No. 1s in the history of the Top Rock Albums chart, which launched in 2006.

Letter to You earned 97,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week ending October 29, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, with 92,000 units of the sum comprised of album sales.

Billboard noted Springsteen last topped the chart with Western Stars in June of 2019, while his first No. 1 was Magic in October of 2007.

Letter to You took over the top spot from the reissued Wildflowers by the late Tom Petty, who is tied with Dave Matthews for the second most No. 1s in the history of the chart with six.
