Brooklyn Beckham Laments Nicola Peltz Wedding Delay

The oldest son of David and Victoria Beckham calls his marriage delay ‘difficult,’ saying he’d already be husband and wife with actress fiancee if ‘COVID wasn’t a thing.’

AceShowbizBrooklyn Beckham and his fiancee Nicola Peltz would already be husband and wife if it weren’t for the coronavirus pandemic.

The eldest child of fashion icon Victoria Beckham and soccer ace David Beckham insists the U.K. and U.S lockdowns, which severely limited the number of guests allowed at weddings, are the reason why he and the actress aren’t already married.

The Superdry model admits the delays have been “difficult.”

“We’ve been engaged for a year and if COVID wasn’t a thing we’d have liked to have been married already,” he tells HELLO!.

Brooklyn spent his coronavirus lockdown in the U.S. with Nicola while the rest of the family decamped to their multi-million pound mansion in the Cotswolds, England.

However, he was happy to spend time with his “best friend” in a safe “bubble.”

“We have our own little bubble together and it’s just really nice.”

Now, Brooklyn expects the nuptials might finally be a go next year (22). “You know, I’ve only just started to travel again, I’m travelling a little bit now but hopefully, it’ll be next year,” he tells the outlet.

As for Christmas plans, he adds, “I think I’m going to be with my fiancee’s family so I’m very excited.”

Mom Victoria previously said she was not offering relationship advice to her soon-to-be-married son. “Sometimes you have to learn by our own mistakes,” she explained. “But we’re always there to support and we have a lot of fun in the process.”
