It’s over for Ben Affleck Opens a New Window. and Lindsay Shookus. The actor found love with the Saturday Night Live producer after his 2015 split from estranged wife Jennifer Garner Opens a New Window. . The pair went public with their romance in July 2017, but they called it quits in August 2018.
After briefly rekindling their romance in February 2019, multiple sources confirmed to Us Weekly that the two split for a second time in April. “She has a kid and an ex-husband and a job in New York and Ben has his family and a job in L.A., and while they love and respect each other, they just realized it wasn’t going to work,” an insider explained to Us of their decision to part ways. “They really gave it another solid try.”
Despite things not working out for Affleck and Shookus, the insider added the pair “will always have love for each other.”

Secretive Beginnings
A source told Us Weekly that the Batman actor and the Emmy-winning producer have only been dating since April 2017, and that the Live by Night actor is “very happy” and “enjoying Lindsay’s company.”
However, another insider close to Affleck and Garner claims that their relationship has been going on since 2014. “Ben and Lindsay started their affair about three years ago, just a few months after she became a mom,” the source told Us in July 2017. “They were not casually dating — they were having a full-blown affair.”
Affleck and Garner, who share kids Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, officially filed for divorce in April 2017. Meanwhile, Shookus was previously married to her SNL colleague, Kevin Miller, but the duo have since split.

Going Public
The Oscar winner brought along his ladylove for a work trip to London in early July 2017. Affleck was filming reshoots for his film Justice League, but he squeezed in a few date nights, too. The pair dined at the ultra-luxe Gymkhana Indian eatery and saw The Ferryman at Gielgud Theatre.
