Viewers have been left quaking in their boots after watching the American thriller movie, which originally came out in 2021

Annabelle Wallis stars as Madison Mitchell, who is tormented by visions of the blood-thirsty murders of strangers.

Later, Madison decides to find and save the victims.

However, as the movie goes on, her fears worsen when she discovers these waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities.

Fans of the film rushed to talk about how scared they were on Twitter.

One person commented on the social media site: ‘When I say I’m done with epic movies and only want to watch UNHINGED movies, I’m talking specifically about Malignant.’

And a second wrote: ‘Malignant rewatch, this is the greatest movie ever made probably.’

Another put: ‘It’s one of those that’s hard to explain how it’s scary without giving something away’.

One more person put: ‘I can totally see the Malignant comparisons now because while it’s scary, and terrifying it’s also incredibly weird and filled with the right amount of horror camp. This is one of those films that I can’t wait to see again and again now. But I’ll never forget that 1st viewing!’

While other viewers simply couldn’t believe the twist at the end, as one person on Twitter wrote: ‘The movie offers a twist that’s so ludicrous I simply had to applaud it.’

However, others were unsure the movie was for them, with many disappointed the Australian filmmaker didn’t produce a top-performing film like Annabelle or The Curse of La Llorona.

Fans of the film rushed to talk about how scared they were on Twitter, however others were left far from impressed by the horror

One person sad: ‘Love a bit of a scary film but we watched Malignant, and it is one of the worst films we’ve ever seen’.

Whereas one gave a mixed review, writing: ‘This sure was a bad James Wan movie until the last 30min where its the best thing he’s ever put to screen.

‘I think he should have his wife write insane scripts more often but have someone else direct it.’

And another wrote: ‘Haha OMG that was a bonkers film!! Not really scary, though I do wonder if I’ll have nightmares tonight because of the special effects. Kind of reminded me of the horror movies from the 1980s.’
