The song titled ‘Easy on Me’, a piano ballad, was released at midnight UK time and is the lead single from Adele’s highly anticipated fourth album titled 30, which is due November 19.  The song was reportedly the first track written for the singer’s next album.

Adele had previously played a snippet of the song during her first Instagram Live last week.

Within five hours of its release the music video had already reached over nine million views on YouTube and topped the iTunes chart in twenty countries.

People were quick to respond online to the fifteen time-Grammy Award winner’s latest single.

Steven Turner wrote on Twitter: “We will be listening to “Easy on Me” all weekend.”
