The year was jam-packed with endless incredible celebrity moments, but none sweeter than the newest additions to Hollywood’s favorite families. Stars had plenty to celebrate in 2018 as they welcomed their new bundles of joy. From three new Kardashian-Jenner family members, a few secret pregnancies, and the cutest famous tots becoming older siblings, we saw it all this year. Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated the arrival of their third bundle of joy on April 23rd.
“The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz,” Kensington Palace announced on Instagram. “The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.” The youngest prince is fifth in the line of succession to the British throne.
After months of pregnancy speculation, Kylie Jenner finally announced the arrival of her first daughter with Travis Scott on Instagram just days after giving birth.
“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. my pregnancy was one I chose to do in front of the world,” Kylie wrote in a lengthy Instagram post on February 4th. “I knew for myself i needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free, and healthy way i knew how.”
Kylie and Travis then released a mini documentary on YouTube titled “To Our Daughter,” which highlighted her pregnancy journey and finally giving birth to Stormi on February 1st.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend added another adorable member to their family this year. Miles Theodore Stephens made 2-year-old Luna a big sister in on May 16th, which Teigen announced on Instagram.
“Hello, world! This is Miles Theodore Stephens. We are drowning in his little peeps and nuzzles,” she wrote. “Our household feels overwhelmed with love. Thank you for all your well wishes!”
Khloé Kardashian and her NBA beau welcomed their adorable daughter, True, in April of this year. True is the first child for Kardashian, and the second for Thompson, who has 2-year-old son Prince.
“Our little girl, True Thompson, has completely stolen our hearts and we are overwhelmed with LOVE,” Khloe wrote on Instagram, showing off her house filled with pink balloons. “Such a blessing to welcome this angel into the family! Mommy and Daddy loooooove you True!”
Chicago Noel West, the third child for Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, arrived on January 15th via surrogate. Chicago aka “Chi” was named after Kanye’s hometown, and shares the same middle name as her reality star mother.
Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and model Behati Prinsloo gave birth to daughter Gio Grace Levine on Febrary 15th. Prinsloo announced the arrivial of their second daughter with an adorable photo of her feet on Instagram. “Gio Grace Levine 2/15/18. She’s got her dads toes 👼🏼.”
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter, Kaavia, was born on November 7th via surrogate.
“A LOVELY DAY 👶🏾👶🏾👶🏾,” Union wrote on an Instagram post with photos from the delivery room. “We are sleepless and delirious but so excited to share that our miracle baby arrived last night via surrogate and 11/7 will forever be etched in our hearts as the most loveliest of all the lovely days. Welcome to the party sweet girl!”
Union later opened up about her struggle with fertility and miscarriages, and calls Kaavia their “miracle baby.”
Pippa Middleton, sister of Duchess Kate Middleton, and her husband James Matthews, welcomed their first child on October 15th. Pippa gave birth in the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital just like her sister.
“Everyone is delighted and Mother and baby are doing well,” Royal Correspondent Rebecca English said on the day of his birth. “Pippa’s newborn son also marks the first nephew for older sister Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge.”
Kate Hudson and her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa welcomed their first child together, Rani Rose, on October 2nd. Hudson announced her daughter’s arrival with a simple Instagram post with the birth date, but later added the sweet meaning behind her daughter’s name.
“We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie) after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa,” she explained. “Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor. Everyone is doing well and happy as can be. Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
The actress is also mom to sons Hudson, 10, and Bingham, 7.
On November 7th, model Kate Upton gave birth to her first child with husband Justin Verlander. “Welcome to the world Genevieve Upton Verlander,” Verlander wrote in an adorable Instagram post. “You stole my ❤️ the first second I met you!!! 11.7.2018”
Hilary Duff gave birth to her daughter, Banks, with boyfriend Matthew Koma in October. “Banks Violet Bair❤️ this little bit has fully stolen our hearts! She joined our world at home on Thursday afternoon and is absolute magic ✨” Duff wrote on a photo showing the new parents holding Banks.
Banks is the second child for Duff, who’s also mom to 7-year-old son Luca from her first marriage with Mike Comrie.
Zara Tindall, daughter of Princess Anne and granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, gave birth to her second daughter with Mike Tindall in June.
“Mrs. Michael Tindall was safely delivered of a baby girl on 18th June, at Stroud Maternity Unit. Mr Tindall was present at the birth. The weight of the baby was 9lbs 3oz,” a statement from Buckingham Palace read. “This baby is the second child for Zara and Mike, the fourth grandchild for The Princess Royal and the seventh great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.”
Model Coco Rocha and her husband James Conran welcomed son Iver in April. They are also parents to 3-year-old daughter, Ioni James.
“My baby boy, Iver Eames Conran. 7lbs 10 oz of pure wonder,” Rocha shared from the hospital.
Victoria’s Secret Angel Candice Swanepoel and her fiancé Hermann Nicoli gave their son, Anacan, a little brother in June. Ariel was born June 19th at home. “Thank you so much for all the well wishes…” Swanepoel wrote on Instagram with a sweet shot of her and her son. “Our little man was born this morning at home and he couldn’t be more perfect. 💕”
Miranda Kerr gave birth to her second son and first with husband Evan Spiegel on May 7th. Kerr is already mom to 7-year-old Flynn Bloom, whom she shares with ex-husband Orlando Bloom.
“Words cannot explain how happy we are to welcome our beautiful son into our family,” the new parents told People. “Miranda is doing well and Flynn is excited to be a big brother. Thank you for the kind words and wishes during this very special time.”
Eva Longoria and husband José Bastón welcomed their first child, a son named Santiago, in June.

Michael Phelps and wife Nicole became parents again in February, welcoming a son named Beckett.

Actress Jamie Lynn Sigler and husband Cutter Dykstra welcomed their second son in January. “He’s here. Jack Adam Dykstra we will talk about your tardiness eventually, but for now we’ve got a lot of love to give,” Sigler wrote on Instagram. “Thanks to my besties for helping me laugh and smile and to my husband for just being my rock.” Sigler is also mom to 5-year-old son, Jack.
In probably the craziest birth story of 2018, Seth Meyers’ wife Alexi Ashe gave birth to their second son together in the lobby of their NYC apartment building. The Late Night with Seth Meyers host explained the entire story on his late night show. “My wife just says, ‘I can’t get in that car. I’m going to have the baby right now. The baby is coming.”
In February, Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul and his wife Lauren welcomed daughter Story. “There are no words that will ever be able to explain what just happened to my heart,” Lauren captioned a photo of their newborn daughter on Instagram.
Tennis star Andy Roddick and actress Brooklyn Decker welcomed their second child together this year, daughter Stevie. The duo are already parents to 3-year-old son, Hank.

Eddie Redmayne became a dad again when his wife, Hannah, gave birth to their second child together on March 10th. They announced the birth in The Times, saying “On 10th March 2018 to Hannah (Bagshawe) and Edward, a son, Luke Richard Bagshawe, brother to Iris.”
Robin Thicke and girlfriend April Love Geary celebrated the arrivial of their daughter, Mia, in August.
The couple recently announced that they are expecting another daughter in the new year. Robin is also dad to 8-year-old son Julian Fuego Thicke, whom he shares with ex-wife Paula Patton.
