Fact: T3’s Airebrush Duo Saved Me an Absurd Amount of Time Doing My Hair

  • T3 recently released its first hot air brush, the Airebrush Duo.
  • The Airebrush comes with two attachments, a round brush and a paddle brush.
  • One editor gave herself a blowout with the Airebrush Duo and loved the results.

I honestly can’t think of a more popular hair product this year than the blow-dryer brush. I love giving myself at-home blowouts, and I’ve personally tested quite a few blow-dryer brushes that are currently on the market. (What can I say? I’m a sucker for a hair tool.) When T3 announced its newest launch, the Airebrush Duo Hot Air Blow Dry Brush ($180), I knew I had to try it. I use T3’s Twirl Trio for all of my curling iron needs, and because the kit’s barrels are some of my favorite hair tools, I was excited to see how T3’s latest and greatest tool would measure up.

The Airebrush has two attachments: a 2.5″ round brush for voluminous, bouncy hair and a 3″ paddle brush for a sleek, straight look. It has five different heat settings and three different speed settings, which gives users a whopping 15 different speed and heat combinations. It’s also equipped with EvenStream vents, which help guarantee consistent, even airflow, as well as SmoothGrip bristles, and a CeraGloss ceramic surface. It’s even furnished with a cool shot button, so you can blast your hair with cool air and lock in your desired style quickly and efficiently.

The first time I tried it, I let my hair air dry until it was about 80 percent dry. I then used the round brush attachment, twisting it outward at the ends to give my hair a flipped-out look. Afterward, I went over my entire head with the flat paddle brush on the cool shot setting, to help lock in the style and minimize frizz at the top of my head. Altogether, it only took me about 15 minutes total to style my hair, which is quite an improvement from my normal styling times.

One of my favorite things about this dryer brush is the size of the attachments. The round brush isn’t too big or too tiny, it lands somewhere right in the middle. It helped me achieve the perfect outward flip for my curtain bangs, which is something I’ve had difficulty accomplishing regardless of how many hair styling tools I’ve tried. I also love that it comes with dual attachments because the two attachments basically replace the need for a blow dryer, flat iron, round brush, and curling iron. I’m especially excited to travel with this tool because usually, I have an entire bag dedicated to all of my “necessary” hair tools.

The biggest difference I noticed between this tool and other blow dryer brushes I’ve used in the past is that the Airebrush left my hair feeling smooth and shiny. I loved the final look. In the past, I’ve noticed that when I’ve curled my hair with T3 curling irons my hair has felt similar, so I would definitely attribute this to the ceramic surface.

While it’s definitely on the pricier side compared to others on the market, I’ve found that cheaper blowdryer brushes leave my hair looking frizzy, or even dry and straw-like. To me, the quality of this product and the end result make the price tag worth it. I can’t wait to take this tool with me on my next trip and not only save myself tons of luggage space but also save myself some styling time as well.
