UK outlook for Sunday April 7 to Wednesday April 10

Generally rather warm for most areas on Sunday, with a bright start in western areas.

Some rain and drizzle across the east and south eastern regions.

The outlook for Monday to Wednesday is drier and more settled in the north with a greater chance of sunshine, though cooler and cloudier along eastern coasts.

More showery in the south, with some heavy outbreaks. Gradually becoming cooler.

UK outlook for Thursday April 11 to Sunday May 5

Thursday and Friday will be cold but mostly dry across the north with a few light showers and some snow flurries possible – even at lower levels.

Risk of rain in the south, but many areas will see some good spells of dry weather developing with some overnight frosts.

A gradual change to more wet and windy weather is likely to develop from the weekend, particularly in the southwest.

Temperatures will gradually increase back to the seasonal average, perhaps even warm in the south and south east.

Looking ahead to the last week of April and into May, there are indications of warmer and drier than average weather moving in.
