The two men in the latex-nun costumes did not want to reveal their real names, but said they made the 1,500-mile trip because their hobby is more accepted in Germany.
Thomas Siegmund, who runs the party, told Bild: ‘There’s a bit less [turnout] than usual, because of the heat. But it is even more than 30 degrees in paint, leather and latex.’

Explaining why the party is so popular, organiser Thomas Siegmund said: ‘In a normal nightclub people are all astonished and some may fidget when they come in latex outfit. On the ship, the guests felt comfortable’

Paramedics are on standby on the ship in case of emergencies. In 2015, the party was forced to get rid of its darkroom and bedrooms to comply with tightening safety regulations.
