Murderer moved to a jail in Scotland after saying he loved the cell views and wanted to be closer to his mum

A MURDERER is being moved to a jail in Scotland — after saying he loved the cell views there over snowy mountains.

Graham Coutts, 50, on a minimum 30 years after burning a female victim’s body, wanted to be near his mum.

Yet he whinged about possibly sharing a cell.

He wrote on a blog from Wakefield jail, West Yorks: "Finally, some good news: my cross-border transfer has now been approved.

"I even know which Scottish prison I will be going to; far, far, closer to my mother. I won’t say yet which prison, I don’t want any 3rd party interference.

"One slightly concerning aspect: the Scottish Prison Service asked this prison if I was a smoker and my sexual orientation.

"That rings alarm bells for me; are they considering making me share a cell? This would be the most awful decision to take; on any number of levels. I’ve written to the SPS and the Scottish prison to find out if a shared cell is really a consideration."

But a source said: “He won’t get a choice of cell and isn’t guaranteed views.”

Coutts was jailed in 2004 after strangling a woman and torching her remains a week later.
