Molly-Mae denies faking Love Island romance with Tommy Fury and says she's not bitter that Amber and Greg stole the win from them

MOLLY-MAE Hague has denied faking her romance with Tommy Fury to win Love Island and insists she’s not bitter at Amber and Greg for taking the title.

The smitten couple cleared up any rumours of animosity and fakeness, insisting their fellow islanders “deserved” to win.

Despite the pair being favourites to win for much of the show's run, the couple ended up coming runners-up on Love Island on Monday night, with Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea snatching their title.

It didn’t help that throughout the series the beauty has been plagued by accusations of being fake and feigning tears.

In fact, viewers were so turned off by Molly-Mae over her "fake" tears and soppy relationship with boxer Tommy, they actually launched a campaign to stop the pair from winning the show

However, they’ve insisted there was no irritation at being beaten to the title by the couple, who had only been together for 12 days.

Speaking to the Sun Online, Molly-Mae said: "There was no annoyance at all. The end of the day time is nothing. You can be with someone a few days and feel like you’ve known them forever.

“We’re really happy for Amber and Greg. They’ve been there a short amount of time together but they’re incredible together.

“Greg’s an incredible guy, he treats Amber like gold. She had a really hard time in the villa. We’re both so happy for them. I think everyone is.”

Despite being the only boyfriend and girlfriend in the villa, hurtful viewers nicknamed Molly 'Money-Mae' claiming she "fake cried to win the £50,000 cash prize".

The Instagram star came under fire numerous times from viewers who are convinced she's pretending to like boyfriend Tommy Fury in order to get to the final of the show.

Monday night's final certainly wasn't the the first time Molly-Mae has been accused of being fake, with fans doubting how genuine her feelings are for Tommy throughout the series.

It has also been said that she has "fake cried" throughout the series – most recently during her declaration of love to Tommy during last night's show.

When asked how she felt about being called fake, the 21-year-old said: “As for being fake, Tommy knows how I feel. I know how I feel.

“At the end of the day we’ve made it to the final. If I had been fake we definitely wouldn’t have made it that far. People who matter to me know how I feel about Tommy.”
