Julia Roberts Reveals Why She and Her Husband Opted for In-N-Out Over Golden Globes Afterparties

Julia Roberts was more concerned about a good meal than anything else after the 2019 Golden Globes.

The Ben Is Back actress, 51, was nominated at this year’s ceremony for the Amazon show Homecoming. But instead of heading out to one of the many afterparties, Roberts revealed her post-show plans on Instagram: burgers with husband Danny Moder.

The fun Instagram post showed Roberts smooching Moder, 49, in the backseat of a car, all while balancing a large In-N-Out burger — a celebrity favorite — in her left hand.

“Well, we thought there was going to be dinner the whole time,” Roberts explained to PEOPLE at the WSJ. Magazine Talents and Legends Dinner honoring costar Lucas Hedges. “We were waiting for plates to come and we realized that the dinner had been earlier. And so my husband and I were starving and when we left, we said, we need to go get some food. So that’s where we went. It was fun.”

“Fun Night W My Fella,” the Oscar winner captioned the photo. “Congratulations to All! And to all a good (burger) night.”

Roberts has won three Golden Globes out of eight nominations in film, with the Homecoming nod serving as her first-ever in the TV categories. She previously won best actress in a musical or comedy for Erin Brockovich in 2001 and Pretty Woman in 1991, as well as best supporting actress in a musical or comedy for Steel Magnolias in 1990.

At the 76th annual award show, Sandra Oh beat out Roberts and made history when she won the prize for best actress in a television drama for her role in Killing Eve. It was Oh’s second Globe overall, making her the first Asian performer to win multiple Golden Globes. In 2006, she won one for playing Cristina Yang in Grey’s Anatomy.
