Tottenham stars fear 'angry' Kane will quit club next year if trophy drought continues

Spurs are in the last 16 of the Champions League but have been knocked out of all other competitions.

Wednesday's defeat to Chelsea pretty much ended their slim hopes of mounting a title challenge and has even created uncertainty over their chances of finishing in the top four.

And, according to the Daily Telegraph, Kane's reaction in the away dressing room at Stamford Bridge left his team-mates fearing the worst.

The England man is said to have been "devastated and angry" as the loss saw Tottenham slip nine points off leaders Liverpool.

Kane is desperate to add trophies to his personal achievements, having picked up the Golden Boot at the World Cup last summer.

Should the 25-year-old striker decide to leave North London, there would be no shortage of potential suitors.

Champions League holders Real Madrid have been heavily linked with a move for Kane, while Man United have also been keen on the prolific striker.

Spurs will hope to consolidate their position in the top four today when they host Arsenal in the North London derby.

Kane has scored eight goals in eight Premier League meetings with their rivals.

He is available to Mauricio Pochettino today after escaping punishment over a clash of heads with Chelsea's Cesar Azpilicueta.
