Tottenham confident of £25m transfer for Ryan Sessegnon as Fulham hold out for £20m more

TOTTENHAM are reportedly hopeful of completing a move for Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.

Mauricio Pochettino has been linked with a swoop for the 19-year-old wideman for the past 18 months.

Now the Daily Mail claim he and Spurs are confident of finally getting a deal over the line this summer window.

And that could see the England U21s star join Leeds United’s Jack Clarke and Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele as new additions at the Champions League finalists.

The stumbling block to any potential transfer being completed remains the fee.

Fulham are demanding £45m for Sessegnon, who can play either wing or full-back, but Spurs feel he is only worth £25m.

Borussia Dortmund are also keen on the youngster, and they are watching closely as they weigh-up a swoop to try and link him up with fellow whizkid Jadon Sancho.

The Cottagers have offered their prized-academy product a bumper new contract to stay following relegation back to the Championship.

But after a taste of the Premier League and interest from the two heavyweights hotting up, the teenager has decided to move on.

Spurs are due to tie-up their first signing since January 2018 before the end of the week.

They have agreed a £8.5m fee with Leeds for winger Clarke.

The 18-year-old is due to undergo a medical before the signing on the dotted line before the weekend.

Poch is also ready to splash out £60m to bring Ndombele to the club.

The Argentine boss showed the midfielder around the club’s facilities yesterday as he looks to finalise the big-money deal.
