Michael Smith vs Rob Cross

Head-to-head: 3-10

Cross has a dominant record against Smith, particularly in their biggest meetings, having twice won Premier League meetings and also won their World Championship encounter.

Smith’s brilliant run to the recent World Championship final has not yet been replicated in this tournament – last week’s win over Raymond van Barneveld took him off the foot of the table.

Cross is currently third in the table and one point behind Michael van Gerwen.

Daryl Gurney vs James Wade

Head-to-head: 4-4

Wade impressively beat Van Gerwen last week so now the challenge is whether he can sustain some good form. He has lost just once in the opening four weeks.

It is a decade since Wade became the Premier League champion and he now sits second in the table.

Gurney was battered 7-1 by Cross last week. It has been an up-and-down campaign for him so far.

Mensur Suljovic vs Gerwyn Price

Head-to-head: 4-9

Price is the only unbeaten player so far but sits fourth in the league because he has drawn three times.

Expect plenty more boos for Price, the pantomime villain of this tournament, but they haven’t fazed him yet. He has a favourable record against Suljovic and beat him in last year’s Premier League.

Raymond van Barneveld vs Peter Wright

Head-to-head: 11-11

Van Barneveld’s farewell season before retiring hit a road bump in the past week when he dropped out of the world’s top 32. After four weeks of the Premier League, he is winless and bottom of the table.

In ‘Snakebite’ he will find an opponent who similarly out of sorts. Wright has won just once in the Premier League so far.

Michael van Gerwen vs John Henderson

Head-to-head: 8-1

Van Gerwen has the opportunity to respond to his first Premier League defeat of the season against Henderson, who is this week’s stand-in for Gary Anderson.

Henderson actually won their most recent match at the 2017 World Grand Prix.

But after Van Gerwen was beaten by Wade last week, expect him to be determined to rebound in style.
