Lacazette insists he 'could be happier' at Arsenal despite impressive season

ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE admitted he “could be even happier” with life at Arsenal, despite his good form in North London.

The Frenchman scored a brilliant free-kick against Napoli last night as the Gunners progressed through to the Europa League semi-final with a 3-0 aggregate win against the Serie A giants.

After the win the 27-year-old striker, who has netted 16 times in 42 appearances this season, told RMC Sport he still feels something missing in London.

Lacazette said: "I'm happy when I play, necessarily, like any player, when I'm on the pitch, of course, there is joy, on the field and off, I keep smiling, smile to life.

“I do one of the most beautiful jobs in the world, even if I could be even happier.

"But I'm happy, we won and we go to the next round.

“In training and my team-mates trust me, I'm happy, but tonight it's mostly a team effort, we did not have to concede a goal, we did it on both games, we're happy."

The French forward has been trusted as Unai Emery’s main centre-forward option this term.

Striking partner Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has succumb to 13 games out wide in order to accommodate Lacazette playing through the middle.

The win in Naples last night booked the Gunners place into the last four of the Europa League – where they will now meet La Liga outfit Valencia.
