Friday's horse racing NAP: Your best bet for today's racing from Callum Jamieson

THE action hots up on Friday – Newbury and Ayr both host proper cards.

We stick to the level for the best bet of the day and chance a Clive Cox sprinter.

KICK ON KICK ON (Newbury, 2.35) should do just that after a wind-op over the winter.

The four-year-old won first time out last season and has also scored following a 56-day break.

The drying track should suit and Will Buick takes over in the saddle. The Godolphin man rode two winners from seven rides in 2018 for Cox.

He was very unlucky on his last start in November and still stuck on for a decent third suggesting there's a bit more wiggle room off his current mark.

Elsewhere on Friday…

Also at Newbury FESTIVAL OF AGES (3.05) should be hard to beat. He could be fairly skinny though. His form behind Stargazer at Newcastle and Aircraft Carrier suggests there's a bit more to come.

At Kempton, CAPOFARO (5.10) should have more to offer after winning here last time and could go on a bit of a run now.
