Poundland is selling a £5 Bonkin' Bunny vibrator and it's £25 cheaper than a Rampant Rabbit

The discount chain isn't shafting you as the new "Bonkin' Bunny" vibrator is £5 – £25 cheaper than the famous Ann Summers toy it's cheekily named after.

Parents worried about their little ones picking the gadget off the shelf don't need to worry.

Those looking to spice things up in the bedroom can only buy the toy if they ask for "Justin" at the counter, according to Poundland.

The bright purple toy has a 7.2-inch penis-shaped shaft and two vibrating "ears" to stimulate the clitoris too.

It looks remarkably similar to the Rampant Rabbit range at sex toy and lingerie shop Ann Summers, which start from £20 and go up to £150.

The Original Rampant Rabbit will set customers back £30.

Rabbits often have different modes and settings depending on the model – but Poundland's version is quite basic.

It has a high to low vibrate setting, which you twist to adjust, and it requires one AA battery to get going.

It's probably most similar to Ann Summers' £20 purple Vibrating Beginners Rabbit, which also has a twistable speed setting.

What's in Poundland's sex toy range?

  • Bonkin’ Bunny – £5
  • Vibrating Love Ring (for men) – £1
  • Joy Ring (for men) – £1
  • Pure Water Base Lubricant – £1
  • Pure Men Supplement libido-boosting pills- £1
  • Finger Fun Stimulator – £1
  • Female Sexual Vitality libido-boosting pills – £1
  • Playful Bullet vibrator- £1

The new toy is pricier than the seven other intimate products in Poundland's Nooky range, which all cost £1.

But it is still a lot cheaper than buying a vibrator from Ann Summers.

Other sex toy retailers also sell versions of the famous rabbit toys, including lovehoney.co.uk, where the toys start from £17.50.

Poundland’s Nooky spokesperson Holley Mobley said: "We hope customers feel our vibe and love the bunny as much as we do.

"We’re buzzing to see what they think."

Sainsbury's launched a range of sex toys for the first time last year, with prices starting from £8.

Asda also launched a collection in 2005.

Poundland is also selling £1 engagement rings at the moment, with some women saying they're the "best idea ever".
