Mum’s size 8 Pretty Little Thing dress so tiny it only just fit daughter, four

A mum was left furious after a size 8 Pretty Little Thing dress was so small, it only just fit her four-year-old daughter.

Kirsty Dee said the all black, T-shirt style dress 'wouldn't even go over her head' – despite appearing to fit a grown woman on the website.

The mum bought the dress for £10 and planned on wearing it to a birthday party.

But she was "so angry" after spotting just how tiny the garment was when it arrived.

Kirsty was so astonished by its size, she tried it on her four-year-old daughter – where it appeared to just about fit the youngster.

Taking to Twitter , she wrote: "So bought this in a size 8 from @OfficialPLT. Wouldn't even go over my head and just fits my 4 year old daughter! Really?????".

Kirsty shared the image of her daughter online, along with a picture clearly showing the size 8 label.

Speaking to Fabulous Digital, she said: "I just think it's disgusting how they promote body confidence and then send me a dress not fit for a size 6 – 8.

"Made me feel awful at first but laughed it off when I saw it fit my 4-year-old.

"I couldn't get it over my head."

Pretty Little Thing responded to Kirsty after she reached out to them on social media.

They said: "So sorry to see that there is an issue with the dress you bought.

“If you could please drop us a DM with your order number and the name of the item we can look into getting this sorted for you."

Mirror Online has contacted Pretty Little Thing for a comment.
