Are Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez Still Dating?
Jennifer Lopez is a singer-songwriter, actress, and dancer best known for her 1990s breakout hit Jenny From the Block. Alex Rodriguez is Major League Baseball player. When fans caught wind of the two dating in March of 2017, they were ecstatic. They couldn’t get enough of the couple who even have the perfect couple moniker, no matter which way it goes – A-Rod or J-Lo. No, seriously – their potential couple names are also their nicknames. It’s adorable.
Although the couple was pretty press-strong in the beginning of their courtship, not as much is seen of them today. Did they decide to keep their lives private, been busy, or decided to call it quits? Here’s what we know.

Yes, J-Lo and A-Rod are still a thing. We aren’t sure if they’ve just been really busy with work or deciding to keep a little more of their lives private, but the lack of press does not mean they aren’t a couple any longer.
The fact they are still dating was confirmed recently via Instagram. Jennifer Lopez posted an image of her abs after she did a 10-day cleanse with no carbohydrates and no sugar. She looked fantastic (as always) and not one iota different from the Jenny From the Block singer of almost 20 years ago. Her perfect Instagram boyfriend was quick to comment on the image.
Alex Rodriguez commented on the image with “lucky me” followed by three different emojis – a heart, a baseball, and a checkmark. FYI: this was shortly after Lopez’s famous ex-boyfriend, P. Diddy commented on the image with “OMG” and a heart-faced emoji.

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez met for the first time in 2005, when both were unavailable. J-Lo took her twins to see A-Rod play a baseball game, with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, in attendance. At the time, Alex Rodriguez was still married to his ex-wife, Cynthia.
But if you fast forward over a decade later, to early 2016 or late 2017, the two met for a second time and were both now available – but not for long! When J-Lo spotted Rodriguez outside of a Beverly Hills restaurant, she felt “compelled” to say hello. When she did, A-Rod commented on how beautiful was. A few hours after their meeting, Rodriguez called Lopez to set up their first official date – and the rest is history!
How long have A-Rod and J-Lo been together now?
The two have now been together for approximately two years. Their first date took place in early 2016 or late 2017, very shortly after that fateful second meeting. The date was at the Hotel Bel Air, and it started what would end up one of the cutest Hollywood romances fans have ever seen. An exact date isn’t really known, but it has definitely hit the two year mark now.

In June of 2018, rumors started to fly that the couple were engaged. While fans were ecstatic and happy for the supposed engagement, Jennifer Lopez had to politely shut those rumors down.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Lopez said that her and A-Rod “have to take our time. I’ve made plenty of mistakes in [the] past, we’re mature now, we’re grown ups, we’re going to take our time and take things at our own pace…. we’re having the best time between our kids and our work and all the wonderful things going on. We’re truly blessed, we don’t need anything more right now.”
Things are growing, though
Despite the engagement rumors being false, things are definitely growing in the Rodriguez/Lopez relationship. A-Rod just started his own YouTube channel, which promises to be filled with information about his life with J-Lo. They sold their home to make more room for their blended family of four children, and they continue to be super supportive of one another in all their pursuits – professional and personal!
