Bookies now believe Meghan Markle will give birth in May after Prince Harry steps out with Kate Middleton

WHILE IT had been thought Meghan Markle would give birth in April – the bookies now think otherwise.

The odds are indicating the royal baby will arrive in May after Prince Harry stepped out with Kate Middleton earlier today.

To commemorate Anzac Day at Westminster Abbey, the Duke of Sussex joined his sister-in-law the Duchess of Cambridge.

The dad-to-be was not originally expected to attend in case his first child did arrive, with the event left off his official diary.

With Harry away at the service for several hours, it is certain that Meghan is not yet showing any signs of labour.

There are just five days left of April making it very likely a May birth could happen.

"We were as surprised as everyone else that Harry decided to attend a public event as we assumed the baby was imminent," Rupert Adams, a William Hill spokesman, told the Mirror.

"We are now odds on that baby will not arrive until May."

A Palace source said: "The Duke's name was not printed in the Westminster Abbey programme in advance of today's Anzac service in case he was unable to attend due to the impending birth of his first child with the Duchess of Sussex.

"Prince Harry is delighted he is able to attend the service to commemorate Australia and New Zealand's war heroes on Anzac Day.

"Both he and his wife have incredibly fond memories of the two countries having visited most recently last October during their maiden major royal together.

"If anything was to happen in terms of a labour, he would be able to leave at a moment's notice but you may infer from his attendance that perhaps the due date is not necessarily today."

Harry looked smart for the occasion in a suit adorned with medals, while Kate was elegant in a teal Catherine Walker coat and Rosie Olivia hat.

The pair shared a joke as they arrived at the service.
