Benedict Cumberbatch kisses wife Sophie Hunter on red carpet at BAFTA TV Awards 2019
Benedict Cumberbatch, 42, put on a cosy display with his wife Sophie Hunter earlier this evening.
The Patrick Melrose actor and his wife of four years packed on the PDA on the red carpet of BAFTA TV Awards 2019 which took place at Royal Festival Hall.
The English actor, who won the award for Best Lead Actor for his portrayal of Patrick Melrose in the show, looked smart in a dark suit and tie while his wife shimmered in a black sequinned gown.
The Sherlock Holmes star tenderly wrapped his arm around her waist and leaned in for a kiss as the couple posed for pictures ahead of the award ceremony.
Benedict and Sophie, who are parents to Christopher Carlton and Hal Auden, looked like they only had eyes for each other at the star-studded event.
The Marvel movie star, who recently produced and appeared in five-part drama Patrick Melrose, took to the stage at the award ceremony to accept the BAFTA for Best Mini series.
The Sky Atlantic show, which is an adaptation of Edward St Aubyn’s books about the wealthy Englishman, was up against A Very English Scandal (BBC One), Kiri (Channel 4) and Mrs Wilson (BBC One).
After collecting the accolade, the actor posed for photographs with David Nicholls, Edward Berger, Helen Flint and Michael Jackson as well as Andrew Scott who presented the gong.
Graham Norton hosted tonight’s event after taking a two year break from the award ceremony.
