Tributes have flooded in to a 21-year-old ‘beautiful kind gentle mum’ who died in a horror smash during a day out with her boyfriend.
This is the first picture of Sophie Murphy who was fatally injured at Brighouse, Calderdale, West Yorkshire on Saturday.
She had been a passenger in her partner Sam Sheard’s car when they crashed with a Mercedes travelling in the opposite direction.
Sophie’s little girl Emilia, who celebrated her first birthday in June, was being looked after by her gran while Sophie went to play golf with Sam. The one year old daughter will now be brought up by her grandmother.

After spending the morning on the golf course, Sophie and Sam decided to go for a late meal shortly after 2pm.
Sophie was a passenger in a Vauxhall Corsa being driven by Sam when the smash happened moments later.
The couple were travelling away from Brighouse, when they crashed with a Mercedes C180 travelling in the opposite direction, towards the town.
Sophie, from Dewsbury, died at the scene despite desperate efforts to revive her, cops said.

Sophie’s mum posted a picture of Sophie and Emilia on social media with the message: ‘My life gone.’
Her tribute continued: ‘There are no words, to describe the news I received yesterday that my beautiful daughter Sophie has been taken from me at the young age of 21.
‘My life my heart and my whole world has been torn apart.
‘My Sophie, my baby, my first love. All my life I have lived for my children. My heart is now broken.
‘I will love you forever and promise from the bottom of my heart I will make you proud and make sure Emilia has the best upbringing.

‘You was the best mum, a daughter could ever wish for. Fly high my angel until we meet again xxxxxxxxx.’
Police are appealing for witnesses to the two car collision which happened about 2.22pm on the A643 Highmoor Lane in Brighouse on Saturday 22 August.
Det Sgt Alison Webb, of the Major Collision and Enquiry Team, said ‘This has clearly been a very serious incident in which a young woman has lost her life and we are conducting a full investigation into what took place.
‘We are appealing for witnesses and I would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or either the Mercedes or Corsa just prior the incident taking place.
‘We would also ask anyone who has dashcam footage of the collision or the vehicles driving just prior to the crash to contact us.’
