A waitress working at a Michelin-starred restaurant in Germany was killed in a hit-and-run when a chef at the restaurant allegedly ran her down after a night out.
The woman, named only as Veronika, 23, was reportedly hit by the Volkwagen Golf driven by 27-year-old chef Silviu Dragomir on Sunday night in the town of Aschau im Chiemgau, Bavaria.
Both Veronika and the alleged driver Silviu Dragomir work at the high-end Residenz Heinz Winkler in the town, which boasts two Michelin stars.

German newspaper Bild reported that Veronika had been walking in the middle of the road when she was struck by the vehicle because the snow was too deep on the pavement.
After the incident police found a Volkswagen Golf car part at the scene which they are convinced fell off Dragomir’s vehicle after hit Veronika.
Dragomir, 27, was said to have been at the same club with the victim and was carrying two other passengers, who also worked at the restaurant as the hit-and-run unfolded.

According to local media, the police have now issued arrest warrants against all three workers, with the two passengers being suspected of failure to help and obstruction of justice.
Meanwhile, Dragomir is suspected of attempted manslaughter by neglect, negligent homicide and fleeing the scene of an accident.
When the police shared information about the spare part, a 23-year-old female co-worker at the luxury restaurant Residenz Heinz Winkler called the cops to say they were wrong to connect the part with the accident.

Police spokesman Stefan Sonntag said: ‘The 23-year-old called the police and said that the VW Golf owned by her father was the vehicle that was missing the car part.’
However, the restaurant worker, whose name was not reported, told cops that the car had not been involved in an accident.

According to the police, the woman was in the car at the time of the accident with a 22-year-old male colleague.
Dragomir has reportedly denied his involvement in the fatal crash.
On Instagram, Dragomir shared a picture of him embracing the victim, writing: ‘You will always live on in my heart.’
The police are still investigating the accident and have not yet provided further details.
Chef Heinz Winkler, who runs the exclusive restaurant, said he was shocked by the accident.
He added: ‘I find it particularly concerning that, according to the police, several of our employees were involved in this terrible accident in their spare time.’
Winkler said that victim Veronika ‘was one of our best’.
He was shocked by the alleged involvement of Dragomir, saying that his kitchen hand is ‘a model employee and a very good cook’.
