Two boys, aged seven and eight, 'admit torturing and murdering three-year-old toddler before dumping his body in landfill'

The tragic boy's body was found near a dump in Germiston, South Africa, less than a mile from his home on Monday.

His alleged child killers confessed to tying the boy up with rope and beating him to death with stones before tossing him off the edge of the waste land.

The toddler's family reported him missing on Saturday after he failed to return home after going out to play that afternoon.

He told his mum he was going outside after lunch and left his bowl behind, according to TimesLive.

His panicked father heard reports of a body being found at the landfill and rushed there to find the boy's body covered in "fresh" blood and horrific wounds.

FATHER'S ANGUISH

He told TimesLive: "I just rushed there. A lot of things were going through my mind.

"I had hoped it would not be him but unfortunately it was."

The grieving father suspects an adult may have been involved in the brutal murder of his son, who has not been named.

But he added there was no explanation as to why his toddler was targeted because his family has "no enemies".

He added: "I understand the children could have been playing and a mistake happened, but a dead person is heavy.

"There is no way they would have been able to pick him up and put him inside a sack… something doesn’t add up.

"There is an adult involved somehow."

The two children have allegedly owned up to the brutal murder.

But the boy’s father said their families have not spoken.

He added: "Even if they were to come now, I have nothing to say to them … an apology will not bring my son back."

Police spokesperson Kay Makhubele said detectives are investigating.
