Tragedy as child dies at house in Stoke-on-Trent after paramedics desperately battled to save her | The Sun

A GIRL has died on an estate in Staffordshire after paramedics battled to save her.

The tragedy unfolded on Intake Road, in Norton, Stoke-on-Trent, on Saturday at around 7.37am.

Advanced life support was administered by paramedics at the scene but nothing could be done to save her life.

Police are not treating the death of the child – whose age has not been confirmed – as suspicious.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “We were called to a medical emergency at a private address on Intake Road, in Norton.

"Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a BASICS emergency doctor attended the scene.

"Upon arrival we found a child.

"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support at the scene but despite their best efforts, nothing more could be done to save her and she was confirmed deceased at the scene.”
