Stag party left battered and bloodied after senseless street attack in Benidorm

These shocking photos capture the horrific injuries a British stag party suffered after they were allegedly attacked with metal poles by bouncers in Benidorm .

Richard Robinson, 37, and his seven friends and family claim they were battered repeatedly by the thugs after defending themselves from a pickpocket in the city's popular Levante Beach Boulevard strip.

The group claim up to 15 bouncers rained down blows on the men – who were aged between 21 and 62 – in a sickening attack.

Seven of the men needed treatment in hospital and the 62-year-old was left extremely disorientated.

"They just annihilated a family, mainly of older men, on their stag party," Justin Scrutton, one of the friends, exclusively told Mirror Online.

"Within seconds [after confronting the pickpocket], bouncers came out and held him away from us. Then, a few seconds later, more of them come.

"There were around 10-15 in the end, but most alarmingly they were armed with long bars. The bouncers out there are a law unto themselves.

Richard, of Dartford, Kent, snapped his ankle and was lucky to be able to walk down the aisle weeks later.

Disturbing photos show the pals in agony on the streets of Benidorm and later following treatment in hospital.

Justin, a self-employed chauffeur in Dartford, himself suffered an elbow fracture and severe bruising to his ribs.

Others smashed their knees, needed stitches for huge wounds, suffered concussion and broken bones.

"We didn’t stand a chance, it was like a wasps nest. We didn’t even want trouble," Justin continued.

"We just ventured out the hotel, for the strip but it was an extremely seedy sex scene. There were prostitutes everywhere.

"We went in two bars, then stayed in the third and then this happened.

"We weren't heavily drunk. It was horrific."

The group had to cut the trip short and return home back in May.

But despite his nasty injuries, father-of-two Richard was able to marry teaching assistant Leanne in June.

With beaches, theme parks and plenty of accommodation, Benidorm is a bustling seaside resort.

More than 11 million people, many of whom Brits, visit the resort every year.
