Six-year-old shows off his astonishing rugby skills when he KICKS the ball into a BASKETBALL hoop

This is the astonishing moment a six-year-old shows off his impressive rugby skills when he kicks a ball straight through a basketball hoop.

In the clip, little Oscar Herbert is seen lining up a rugby ball on damp tarmac in Northampton.

The aspiring sports star then backs away from the ball in his bright pink trainers before running back over to place it in the perfect position.

He looks back at his father, Gary Herbert, and speeds towards the ball, launching it smoothly into the air.

It soars towards the basketball hoop – not even knocking the backboard as it drops through the net.

Oscar then jumps into the air in celebration – knowing he’s won £10 from his father.

Mr Herbert, 41, who filmed the incredible feat, said: ‘It was so surreal and I couldn’t believe what I had witnessed to be honest. 

‘I said tongue in cheek: “If you get it in the basketball ring I’ll give you ten pounds”, and the second attempt, in it went. 

‘I simply couldn’t believe my eyes, I thought I was dreaming and had to pinch myself.

‘I will never forget this as long as I live, and I have learned my lesson and won’t be challenging for money again.’

The video, which was posted to Twitter on Saturday, currently has more than 33,000 views.

Mr Herbert, who cares full-time for his disabled 16-year-old, Lewis, said: ‘Oscar wants to be a rugby player like Jonny Wilkinson or a footballer when he grows up!

‘I uploaded it onto social media on Saturday and the response has been absolutely incredible.’
