One killed, two injured during shooting inside Seattle’s cop-free zone

One person was killed and two others injured when a shooting erupted in Seattle’s autonomous zone early Saturday, and police are now investigating in the “no-cop” zone, according to a report.

Seattle police remain in the so-called Capitol Hill Organized Protest zone, according to  Newsweek.

Videos recorded inside the autonomous zone showed volunteers scrambling to help the victims. Police confirmed the shooting to Newsweek Saturday but offered no additional details.

Seattle police abandoned the area on June 8 following confrontations with protestors after the shooting of George Floyd who died while in the custody of Minneapolis police.
