    Tower of love

The town crier isn't the only one to be shouting the royally good news from the roof-tops.

'It's a baby boy' could also be seen illuminated from London's BT tower – the tallest building in the capital – after the arrival of mini Sussex was announced this afternoon.

Will the Royal Baby have a title?

While Baby Sussex sounds like a title in itself, this royal heir is on track for an even more distinguished moniker.

However, the seventh in line to the throne may not be called His Royal Highness, thanks to his great-great-grandparent.

King George V introduced a rule in 1917 which means the baby will need special permission from the Queen to become a HRH.

Before Prince William and Kate Middleton had Prince George, the Queen used the Letters Patent so she could give all of their children a HRH title.

Her Majesty is yet to make special permission for Harry and Meghan's first child to be a HRH.

As it stands, Harry and Meghan's first born has the title the Earl of Dumbarton – though perhaps he's more likely to stick to his as yet unrevealed first name.

    Was Prince Harry nervous?

Prince Harry announced the birth of his first child outside Windsor this morning.

While he couldn't stop grinning, a body language expert has said he appeared to have a mixture of “utter delight and stress”.

Judi James told Fabulous Digital: “This shot shows Harry sporting a unique, ‘New dad’ smile that uses facial muscles he’s probably never used before!

“The mouth is pulled tight and his teeth are edge to edge, showing a mix of utter delight mixed with the kind of stress and anxiety that the birth might have produced.

“His cheeks are raised high and rounded to show utter pleasure and pride and his eye-smile is so powerful it’s creating bumps on his forehead.”

Has Meghan's dad Thomas Markle said anything?

Thomas Markle has spoken of his pride at his new grandson being born into the royal family.

The 74-year-old has kept a low profile in the run-up to the royal birth.

He told The Sun: “I'm delighted to hear that mother and child are doing well.

“I am proud that my new grandson is born into the British royal family and I am sure that he will grow up to serve the crown and the people of Britain with grace, dignity, and honour.

“GOD bless the child and I wish him health and happiness, and my congratulations to my lovely daughter Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, and GOD save the Queen.”
