Massive manhunt as NFL star’s brother, 22, is stabbed to death in fight outside a bar in Tennessee – The Sun

THE younger brother of a NFL star has been stabbed to death during a bar brawl "over a woman" in Tennessee.

A massive manhunt has been launched after Clayton Beathard, 22, died of multiple injuries following the fight outside Dogwood Bar in Nashville.

Another man, Paul Trapeni III, 21, was also killed in the horror attack, which was witnessed by several onlookers in the early hours of Saturday, WTVF reports.

Cops say the stabbings "appear to have resulted from an argument over a woman that began inside Dogwood Bar and then turned physical when the parties went outside".

Clay was an amazing, big and soft-hearted human being

A third man was also stabbed during the row involving "multiple people", it's reported.

The 21-year-old man suffered wounds to his eye and arm and remains in hospital.

Clayton is the brother of C.J. Beathard, who plays as quarter back for the San Francisco 49ers.

His family described him as an "amazing, soft-hearted human being with an undeniable love for the Lord".

Relatives said in a statement: "It’s times like this I wish had Instagram and social media because the love and prayers have been so overwhelming. We cannot possibly thank you at the rate they come in texts and phone calls.

"Clay was an amazing, big and soft-hearted human being with an undeniable love for the Lord. He had his family's, friends' and teammates' backs even to a fault. I wish he would have been more inclined to take the high road but he hated 'wrong'."

"Yes, he was stubborn sometimes but mostly because his beliefs were strong. He lived a full life except for the chance at being the incredible father I knew he would have been. He loved kids, underdogs and the less fortunate.

"His little sister was his world and his love and pride for his older brothers was off the charts. He will be missed. That is an understatement. Nobody's light shined like his when he smiled."

In a statement on Twitter, the 49ers said "We extend our heartfelt sympathies to C.J. and the entire Beathard family as they cope with the unthinkable loss of a loved one."

Metro police are searching for three men and one woman captured on CCTV footage for questioning. Based on public tips, they were able to identify everyone in the video aside from a man in a Nike sweatshirt, reports NewsChannel5Nashville.
