Married choir teacher, 28, had sex with boy, 16, in her classroom and romped up to 10 more times

A MARRIED high school teacher had sex with a pupil in her classroom and up to 10 more times, including on a field trip and in a park.

Choir teacher Olivia Sondheim, 28, first had sex with the boy when he was aged 16 in Everett, Washington in April 2016.

Court papers reveal they had sexual contact between five and 10 times, based on the victim's account.

On some occasions the Lynwood High School teacher drove him to her home and he recalled Sondheim and her husband's initials displayed in the master bedroom on a wall.

He also told detectives some of the times they had sexual contact was in a park and on a field trip, the Herald Net reported.

Sondheim ended the relationship at the end of the school year that year, telling the boy she wanted to focus on her marriage.

She has since divorced.

The disgraced teacher was also investigated for having sex with another pupil during the summer of 2016, but no charges filed in regards to the allegations.

The age of consent in Washington state is 16, but teachers and others in position of trust face stricter rules when it comes to having relationships with pupils.

Judge Linda Krese sentenced Sondheim this week to one year behind bars – more than three years after her arrest.

The judge also placed an order on Sondheim, which bans her from making contact with the victim or work in a job where she will be around children.

Once she is released from jail she will be ordered to undergo a sexual deviancy evaluation.

At a bench trial in September, Sondheim said while asking for a more lenient sentence: “My betrayal of him (her then-husband) and his family is absolutely inexcusable.

“No words will make up for the damage I’ve done to them, and the grief I have caused them.”

Sondheim had worked several jobs following her 2016 arrest and ahead of her trial including at a real estate agents.
