Man faces charges after alleged fraud at Hamilton Home Depot

A 25-year-old Stoney Creek man is facing multiple charges after an alleged fraud incident at a Home Depot store.
Hamilton police made the arrest Wednesday morning at the location on 1775 Stone Church Rd. E. after receiving a call about a man allegedly taking products from the store shelves and obtaining a refund on merchandise he hadn’t paid for.
Police were able to locate the suspect inside a vehicle in the store parking lot. After a search of the man, police say they found a stun gun.
The man is facing charges of fraud under $5,000, two counts of breach of a conditional court sentence, possession of a prohibited weapon, and two counts of possession contrary to order.
