Kate and Meghan will sit together to hear the Queen’s Speech — about healing 'even with the most deeply-held differences'
Tomorrow’s potentially awkward moment will come after reports of a growing rift between the two duchesses.
The monarch’s message, disclosed today, is actually a call to end spiteful bickering over Brexit.
The Queen, 92, will say: “I believe his message of peace on Earth and goodwill to all is never out of date.
“It can be heeded by everyone. It’s needed as much as ever.
“Even with the most deeply-held differences, treating the other person with respect and as a fellow human being is always a good first step towards greater understanding.”
It reads like a thinly-veiled appeal to the sniping sisters-in-law.
But royal insiders have stressed it has nothing whatsoever to do with the spat between Kate, 36, and Meghan, 37.
The Royal Family fill the drawing room at Sandringham to watch the TV message, just like millions of others gathering together for it across the UK.
It had previously been thought that Harry and Meghan would then spend the evening at Kate and William’s nearby Georgian home at Anmer Hall like last year.
But earlier this month The Sun revealed they will instead stay with 30 other guests at busy Sandringham.
During the broadcast, produced this year by Sky News, the Queen wears an Angela Kelly ivory silk cocktail dress.
She accessorises the neutral dress with a flash of colour from the ruby and diamond scarab brooch given to her in 1966 by the Duke of Edinburgh.
