Ivanka Trump is spotted in Miami while her father prepares for arrest
Staying put! Ivanka Trump is spotted in Miami while her father prepares to face court and arrest in NYC – just months after announcing she’s stepping back from being former president’s political advisor
- Photos obtained by DailyMail.com show Ivanka exiting her van at an office building in Miami on Monday
- She was escorted into the building by a valet as her father traveled to New York to face his upcoming arraignment
- Ivanka has previously announced she was stepping away from politics
As her father prepared for his upcoming arrest, Ivanka Trump was spotted going about her day in Miami.
Photos showed the former First Daughter getting out of her black van at an office building in the southern city before quickly ducking back into the vehicle when she spotted the cameras.
Eventually, though, Ivanka entered the building escorted by a valet as she passed by a security guard.
The former first daughter seemed tense as she walked into the office building, despite remaining relatively silent about her father’s upcoming arraignment on charges that he paid porn star Stormy Daniels $130,000 in hush money ahead of the 2016 election.
She has only released a brief statement following the news that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg indicted the former president saying that she is ‘pained’ for both her father and her country, months after she announced she would step away from politics.

She has remained relatively quiet about her father’s indictment and upcoming arrest
It is unclear what exactly was on Ivanka’s agenda on Monday as her father flew to New York ahead of his arraignment.
She was just seen wearing form-fitting white jeans, white shoes and a black long-sleeve blouse with her hair tied back.
Ivanka has not said much about her father’s indictment last week, or his pending arrest, writing simply in a statement: ‘I love my father and I love my country. Today I am pained for both.
‘I appreciate the voices across the political spectrum expressing support and concern.’
Her husband, Jared Kushner, however, suggested on Friday that the indictment proved that Democrats ‘fear’ the ‘political strength’ of his father-in-law during a speech at the Future Investment Initiative Summit in Florida.
‘It’s been hard to watch the opponents of him politically continue to break every norm over the last [few] years to try to get to him,’ Kushner told the crowd.
‘I’ve been by him during a lot of these instances and it’s only made him stronger and his resolve to take on big challenges to fight for change.’
Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner, served as political advisers for Trump
She and her husband announced in November they were stepping away from politics
Ivanka and Jared had both served as political advisors to former president Donald Trump back when he was in the White House.
But when he announced back in November that he would once again seek the highest office in America, Ivanka and Jared released a statement reading: ‘I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family.
‘I do not plan to be involved in politics. While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena.’
A Vanity Fair article at the time claimed the former White House power couple had been comparing themselves to the character of Ned Stark in Game of Thrones when people asked them about their plans to return to politics.
The fictional character was famously decapitated after he was lured into the political viper pit of Westeros’ capital at the request of his close friend King Robert Baratheon.
In the piece, it was claimed that the couple are embracing a quiet life in Florida, having escaped what they reportedly refer to as ‘the jackals’ in Washington, D.C.
Jared and Ivanka are now living a relatively quiet life in the southern city with their three kids
It has since been reported that Ivanka is ‘no longer talking’ to her father.
‘Even though Ivanka loves her dad, she knows how impossible he can be,’ an unnamed source familiar with the family told People.
He said she is now focused on ‘recreating her business life and raising her children, which are her priorities.’
And, the source said, Ivanka is acutely aware there is nothing she can do to help her father with the charges against him.
‘Donald does what he wants and she can’t help him now,’ he said. ‘His help is in the hands of his lawyers and advisers. She is no longer working in that capacity.’
