Inside filthy home filled with rubbish and rotting food where four kids aged 2 to 12 were rescued by social services – The Sun

SOCIAL services rescued four kids after they were found to be living in disgusting conditions in a home filled with rubbish and rotting food.

Disturbing photos have been released showng the extent of the home which is littered and filthy throughout.

The children, who range in age from two to 12, were living in the house in Laurel Country, Kentucky, along with two adults Christopher Bowling, 39, and Brandy Bowling, 34, both from London, a city in the US state.

The adults have been arrested and the children taken into care.

It is not clear if one or both of the adults are the parents of the children.

The shocking pictures show the extent of the filthy house with rubbish and discarded food just left on the floor and piles of clothes left lying about.

A picture of what appears to be a child’s cot is overflowing with clothes and drink cartons are left on top of a chest of drawers.

The bathroom floor can hardly be seen due to piles of tissues, nappies and discarded toilet paper as well as dirty clothes.

'UNFIT FOR LIVING CONDITIONS'

The kitchen is in a similar state with the sink piled high with unwashed dishes and pots and pans have been left on the hobs.

In the main bedroom, the double bed is covered with takeaway pizza boxes while the beds for the children don’t appear to have any sheets on them and the mattresses look filthy.

Officers from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office went to the property after a writ of possession was issued.

Deputy Gilbert Acciardo told WYMT: “We knocked on the door and the residents came to the door. We actually entered the residence and couldn't believe it.

“Just fortunate that we were there for that writ of possession. Because had it not been, we would never have known that situation existed.

"Unbelievable that children were living in those set of circumstances. This was a far cry from being dirty. Filthy, even officers noted on the citation it was unfit for living conditions."

Both Christopher and Brandy have been charged with four counts of third-degree criminal abuse of children 12 or under, according to WYMT.

Christopher was also wanted for failure to appear in court for numerous traffic violations.
