An Icelandic horse with a flowing, mullet-like mane bears an uncanny resemblance to music legend Rod Stewart.
The elegant animal was spotted by a fan of the Maggie May singer, Dmitry Ivanov, as he drove from Keflavik to Vik in Iceland.
But despite the horse’s remarkable likeness to the British rock singer, Mr Ivanov, from Odessa in the Ukraine, didn’t notice the similarity until he was processing the pictures.
The plastic surgeon, 37, said: ‘As I was driving I saw a couple of beautiful horses so I pulled over and started to photograph them with my telelens.
‘While I was shooting them I had a faint thought that one of the horses reminded me of someone but I didn’t have time to think about it as I had to drive further to photograph some Atlantic puffins.
‘It was only when I was processing the pictures it occurred to me that one looked like one of my favourite singers, Rod Stewart.’
