Hong Kong protest leaders freed from prison

A stunning victory for the Umbrella Movement’s Joshua Wong, Nathan Law and Alex Chow.

    Three prominent, pro-democracy student leaders in Hong Kong are being freed after the city’s highest court unanimously quashed their jail sentences.

    It is a stunning victory for Joshua Wong, Nathan Law and Alex Chow, after recent setbacks for pro-democracy groups – including one candidate’s disqualification from an upcoming election.
