Back in the days: Mr and Mrs Bezos, who are now set to divorce, are pictured at an unknown date in the early days of their marriage
Where it started: Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos lived in the modest home with soon-to-be ex-wife MacKenzie Bezos at the time when he set up his company in 1994
But since the entrepreneur lived at the 1,540 square-foot property, it has undergone a great deal of renovation work and was rebuilt in 2001.
The garage has also been remodeled and may not resemble the original Amazon headquarters, John L. Scott real estate agent Pat Sullivan said.

An oversized mailbox installed at the home by Bezos so he could receive catalogs is still in place.
Mr Sullivan said a friend who works at Amazon, which still owns more than 40 buildings in Seattle, was planning to post the listing on the company’s internal site.
He said: ‘I think there’s a good chance an Amazon exec might buy this for bragging rights’.

The John L Scott property listing describes the home as ‘a slice of history – Jeff Bezos started Amazon in the garage in the 1990’s’
Jeff Bezos left his job as vice-president of an New York investment firm in 1993, soon after marrying MacKenzie, and they moved to what was then a one-bedroom home in Seattle.
The following year, in 1994, Bezos set up Amazon in the garage in their rented home.
The book The Everything Store, which documents the history of the company, claims Amazon was based at the garage for a few months before Bezos was able to expand, and moved to a small office.
But Mr Sullivan said the current owners only mentioned the connection in passing when they were discussing the sale.
He said: ‘And they said, “Oh by the way, I don’t know if this would matter at all, but Jeff Bezos used to live here and he started Amazon in the garage.
‘I said, “Yes, that would totally matter.”‘

Announcement: Jeff and MacKenzie Bezos announced their separation just hours before news broke of his affair
Private investigators working for Bezos concluded that Lauren Sanchez’s brother Michael, pictured together, leaked the couple’s intimate text messages to the National Enquirer
Bezos announced his divorce from MacKenzie in January, just hours before news broke that he was having an affair with TV presenter Lauren Sanchez.
Since then, it has emerged that Ms Sanchez’s own brother – who is also her manager – had leaked intimate text message exchanges between the pair, who are now officially a couple, to the National Enquirer who exposed their relationship.
Private investigators working for Bezos concluded that Michael Sanchez leaked the couple’s intimate text messages to the National Enquirer, a person familiar with the matter told The Associated Press on Monday.
Bezos’ investigators have suggested the pro-Trump Enquirer’s coverage of his affair was driven by dirty politics, as the President has been highly critical of Bezos over his ownership of The Washington Post and Amazon, and the Post’s coverage of the White House.
Michael Sanchez is a supporter of President Donald Trump and an acquaintance of Trump allies Roger Stone and Carter Page. The investigators have not said how they believe Michael Sanchez came into possession of his sister’s intimate messages.
Michael Sanchez responded to the allegations in an interview with the Fox News show MediaBuzz, where he defended his actions and said he had in fact been trying to ‘soften the blow’ of the Enquirer’s piece outing the relationship.
He claims he did so by by telling Bezos to get ahead of the story and announce that he an his wife MacKenzie were separating after 26 years of marriage before it was published.
He then went on to accuse Bezos’ longtime security consultant, Gavin de Becker, of being ‘very powerful bully,’ and blamed him for details of his sister’s affair being made public.
