Fireworks shootout in Wild West Britain: Yobs hurl rockets at each other in the street sending passersby running for cover

  • At Asda car park in Manchester yobs were caught launching them at shoppers 

Gangs of yobs have been caught on camera hurling rockets at each other in the street sending passersby running for cover. 

Chaos has descended on to Wild West Britain during Guy Fawkes night this evening. 

A 17-year-old boy was left in a ‘serious’ condition after being stabbed in St Helens, Merseyside.

And across the country youths have been shooting fireworks at policemen and firefighters as well as innocent passersby. 

At an Asda carpark in Harpurhey, Manchester, yobs were caught launching fireworks at each other and passing shoppers who described the scene as a ‘warzone’.

One told the Manchester Evening News: ‘I felt like I was in a warzone.

‘Everyone was fleeing for their lives whilst trying to shop.

‘A group of 20 were shooting fireworks at each other, including rockets.’

Firefighters were also attacked in Manchester.

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said ‘attacks like these are completely unacceptable’.

Reports of fireworks being thrown at emergency service staff were also reported in Leeds and North Wales.

A North Wales Police spokesman said: ‘We have received reports that youths in Wrexham are throwing fireworks at our colleagues from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service .

‘Please do not endanger lives with such mindless acts.

‘Our officers will deal robustly with anyone seen acting in this way.’
