EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk looks carefree as he touches down in Los Angeles with son X after disastrous Ron DeSantis Twitter presidential campaign launch

  • The 51-year-old seemed unbothered by last night’s presidential launch disaster
  • Ron DeSantis used Twitter to announce his 2024 campaign but suffered glitches

Elon Musk looked stress-free as he touched down in Los Angeles with his son X a day after the disastrous Ron DeSantis presidential campaign launch on Twitter.

The Tesla CEO, 51, cut a casual figure as he stepped off a private jet at LAX before jumping into a maroon Tesla.

A nanny was seen carrying his son X Æ A-12 down the steps and a few men followed.

The former Twitter CEO seemed unbothered despite last night’s glitches when the Florida governor used Twitter to announce his 2024 presidential campaign.

DeSantis tried claiming that he ‘broke the internet’ during his chaotic Twitter presidential campaign launch – but did so without breaking a smile – as he later tried to downplay the issues that caused a 30-minute delay in the announcement.

Musk opted for a black t-shirt and black skinny jeans, paired with a personalized blue bomber jacket that featured his last name on the chest as he exited the plane.

The jacket is from his SpaceX company, which hopes to hold another launch this weekend.

There was no word on if Musk was in Los Angeles for business or pleasure but he shot a thumbs up as he got into the car after arriving in Los Angeles.

X Æ A-12 is three years old and one of two children Musk has with Canadian singer Grimes.

The ‘X’ in the child’s name stands for the ‘unknown variable’ and Æ is shorthand for artificial intelligence.

Musk has 10 children and last year Nick Cannon saluted him for helping end ‘underpopulation crisis’ after he welcomed his newest set of twins.

The nanny’s name has not been released and its unclear how long she has been watching over Musk’s children.

In addition to SpaceX, Musk is also the head of the Tesla auto company and purchased social-media giant Twitter for $44billion late last year.

It was on Twitter where Musk joined with Ron DeSantis as the Florida Governor announced he was running for the Republican nomination for president in 2024.

The highly-anticipated start of his 2024 White House run started 26 minutes late and crashed multiple times as hundreds of thousands of users tuned in to listen to DeSantis’ conversation with the Twitter CEO.

Musk, at one point, said during the event that the ‘servers were strained’ and the host blamed the glitches on the number of people tuning in, which he claimed were a ‘good thing.’

‘Just try and get it going,’ listeners could hear as it became clear frustration was growing.

Moderator David Sacks, a tech entrepreneur close to Musk, started the talk by claiming DeSantis was engaged in a ‘first is social media’ by ‘making history’ with the announcement.

The event, however, is more likely to be remembered for its series of glitches.

While Musk blamed the servers, another theory was that Musk’s 140 million Twitter followers caused issues with him hosting the Twitter Spaces event. Others blamed the face Musk has slashed thousands from the staff since taking ownership of the company in October.

Twitter owner Musk’s trip to Los Angeles came a day after glitches caused problems with Florida Govnernor Ron DeSantis’ 2024 presidential campaign kickoff on the platforn

DeSantis’ announcement was one of several high-profile moments for Twitter since Musk took ownership.

Earlier this month, Musk confirmed NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino has been appointed as the CEO of Twitter – and hinted the platform will be rebranded as ‘X, the everything app.’

Musk made the announcement on May 12 morning with a tweet which said: ‘Looking forward to working with Linda to transform this platform into X, the everything app.’

He said Yaccarino ‘will focus primarily on business operations, while I focus on product design & new technology.’

Yaccarino had resigned as NBC’s head of advertising earlier in the day – following growing speculation she’d be chosen for the Twitter role. Musk said in December that he’d step down as CEO once he’d found someone ‘foolish enough’ to replace him.

Before taking on the role of Twitter’s CEO, Yaccarino served 11 years as chairman of global advertising at NBC Universal.

And her commitment to free speech over catering to advertiser wishes was brought into question as footage of her interviewing Musk a month before her appointment came to light.

The media executive encouraged Musk to facilitate the return of an ‘influence council’, which would allow advertisers to hold more sway over the content on Twitter.
