Three senseless vandals were caught on CCTV ripping down hanging baskets in a pensioner’s garden.
They were seen on a camera belonging to the 87-year-old victim living in Norton, County Durham.
Her footage, which was later published on social media, shows the trio punching hanging flower baskets off the wall outside the woman’s home.

They are then seen kicking the fallen baskets around her neat front garden.
The woman’s granddaughter posted the clip on the Norton Alert Facebook page.
She wrote: ‘My 87-year-old nana has just sent me this CCTV and three young lads all with hoodies on vandalising her garden.’
She added that the well-kept garden had brought back fond memories of her late grandfather.
Thousands of people later commented on the video.
One wrote: ‘Disgusting! What is happening to our world?’
After knocking them off the wall, the vandals kicked the fallen baskets around the woman’s neat front garden
Another said: ‘Their parents must be so proud to see what they have raised.’
And another wrote: ‘What is wrong with people. This is just stupid vandalism and not funny at all. The poor woman whose garden it is must be devastated.’
Another said: ‘They should have to keep her garden tidy for a year and I would put a sign up outside her house whilst they are working in her garden shaming them.’
The video was shared on February 28.
Fellow residents in the area were also quick to offer help with one poster writing: ‘Please tell your nan it looks a lovely tidy little garden and if you care to PM me l will ask my son to come and fix her a new hanging basket.
