Brighton schools tell kids to stay away over coronavirus as SECOND health centre shuts down – The Sun

TWO primary schools have told kids to stay away over fears its teachers may have caught coronavirus — as a second GP surgery was placed on lockdown too.

Pupils at Cottesmore St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Brighton, East Sussex, have been told they can stay at home after it was revealed that two of its teachers feared they caught the deadly disease from Steve Walsh, 53, dubbed as the city's "super-spreader".

This follows Bevendean Primary School, also in Brighton, who wrote to parents this morning to say one of its staff members has been advised to self-isolate after coming into "close contact" with a coronavirus patient and is also off school.

It comes after a second doctor's surgery in the city — the Lions Dene surgery — linked to the Brighton coronavirus super-spreader, closed.

Dr Catriona Greenwood is thought to be one of the two medics infected — and may have passed the bug on to patients.
