What does Honey G look like without glasses and after her makeover, does The X Factor star have a girlfriend and what's her net worth?
Here's what we know about the rapper and what she is up to now…
Who is Honey G, where is she from and how much is she worth?
Honey G's real name is Anna Georgette Gilford, 37, and she was born on March 12, 1981.
The star is from Harrow in North London – which she refers to as "North Weezy" while in character.
Honey attended an exclusive grammar school, Dr Challoner’s in Buckinghamshire, where she was captain of her tennis team – with Amal Clooney attending the same school.
Her mum was a classical pianist, her dad a dentist.
Honey's own wealth is not yet known as she has struggled to find chart success – and her former business was revealed to be worth just £1 in October 2016.
When did Honey G reveal she is gay and is she single?
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, the rap queen revealed that she is a lesbian.
In an exclusive interview, she told Dan Wootton: “I have dabbled with men before, but I’m gay and looking for a female partner that I want to settle down with.”
But she also had relationships with men, explaining: “I have been with men in the past. But after I had my second experience with a woman I decided that I wanted to be with women."
Honey says her close friends and family know about her sexuality, but she wasn’t ready to speak about it during her controversial stint on Simon Cowell’s reality show.
On April 13, 2018, she revealed she was seeing someone.
When was Honey G on The X Factor and why is she so controversial?
Honey G rose to prominence on the thirteenth series of The X Factor in 2016 starring as one of the Over 25s and mentored by Sharon Osbourne.
After auditioning (she sang Work It by Missy Elliott in her first audition) Honey was given the boot from the show during the six-chair challenge – however she was brought back for Judges' Houses when contestant Ivy-Grace Parades was unable to travel to Los Angeles due to visa issues.
Sharon ultimately chose Honey as one of her final contestants.
Honey was voted off the show in week 9 – but returned to perform in the live final the following week and sparked controversy when she revealed she had already been signed by Simon Cowell to his Syco record label and would be releasing her debut single, The Honey G Show, soon after.
The single was released on December 23, 2016 but was a chart flop.
During her time on The X Factor, Honey proved to be a divisive contestant with some labelling her a novelty act, but others (including rap legend Snoop Dogg) branded her a credible rapper.
Despite being signed to Syco in December 2016, Honey was dropped by the record label by April 2017.
When did Honey G start releasing under her own record label?
After being dropped by Simon Cowell's Syco labels, Honey opted to continue her pursuit of rap stardom without the music mogul.
In May 2017, the star established her own record label – H to the O Music – and in June she unveiled her defiant single Hit You With The Honey G.
Summing up her confidence in the new record, Honey told The Sun’s Bizarre column: “I’m at a point in my life where idols are becoming rivals.”
However in September 2017 she was forced to deny reports that she'd been trying to flog gig tickets for £4.50.
What did Honey G do before she became a rapper?
Before X Factor fame, Honey (or Anna) worked as an IT recruitment consultant and previously gained a degree in MSc Management from UCL, or University College London.
She also studied at The University of Salford and earned herself a 2:1 in Popular Music and Recording, something that she has put to good use since graduating in 2004.
A university classmate has also come forward and claimed the rapper has "dumbed herself down" to assume the persona of a tough rapper for the show.
Stephanie Jones has revealed that Anna Gilford is “very well spoken” and “smart”, and “comes from a decent background”, adding: "Anna is nothing like this character."
Honey is also the survivor of a kidnapping and sexual assault after her car was hijacked – the star said the attack “affected her whole life” as she gave up on becoming a DJ and went into production instead.
What does Honey look like after her makeover and why did she have one?
Honey underwent a stunning transformation as she took part on Channel 5's Celebrity 100 Per Cent Hotter in 2017, leaving those watching at home completely gobsmacked.
Speaking on the show Honey admitted that she was scared about losing her identity if she changed her look.
She said: "I never leave my house without sunglasses.
"I wear my sunglasses in the rain, course I do.
"I take my image very seriously, so I expect they'll have a challenge on their hands because I'm not easily impressed.
"Sometimes my friends say I want to see Anna now, not Honey G.
"I feel like now, after X Factor, I'm more Honey G and not Anna."
What is Honey G doing now?
In October 2018 it was revealed that she had gone back to work, and had landed a job as an estate agent.
However by December 2018 she revealed she had been sacked and told The Sun: “They didn’t realise how famous I am.”
She revealed she was axed by bosses who gave her an ultimatum to quit her hip hop ambitions and focus full-time on the property business.
