THIS Morning viewers baffled as pop legend Peter Andre joins show for cooking segment

Asked by surprised host Dermot O'Leary what he was doing on the show, Peter described himself as a "jack of all trades".

The father-of-four then told viewers he was making "Kentucky Fine Chicken" – a healthy alternative to fast-food chain KFC.

Describing his eating habits, Peter said: "I've always been about balance. I went through my 20s watching everything I ate.

" I looked the way I wanted to look, but really I looked terrible. I was always getting sick.

"I went through my 30s and that was completely the opposite. I just rebelled and had takeaways three times a day.

"You go through that stage and try every diet possible before realising that's not sustainable."

He cooked the dish while talking to hosts Dermot and Holly Willoughby and promoting his cook book #ItsFine: Lose Weight Eating the Food You Love.

Viewers were perplexed about the pop star cooking – despite not having any qualifications or experience.

One said: "No offence but why is Peter Andre cooking burgers on this morning. What is actually going on with British television."
