This Morning fans furious as Christmas chocolate segment is abruptly cut short for Emily Blunt interview

Host Phillip Schofield interrupted Steve Wilson to announce that the actress was ready to start her interview about her new film – despite being midway through finding out about this festive season's must-haves.

He said: "Can I interrupt you for a second? Would you mind awfully?

"We've got a guest waiting at the other side of town and they're on a very, very strict schedule.

"We've tried to adapt our show to get in so can we can come back to you in  a moment.

"Emily Blunt has just taken her seat in a London hotel across town."

It left viewers enjoying the chocolate feature miffed that it had been cut short.

One said: "How rude to cut Willy Wonkas segment just to interview someone coming live from…Oo London!!!! #ThisMorning."

Another added: "Just cut the sweets & chocolate segment short why don't you! Emily Blunt couldn't wait just 5 minutes then could she not? #ThisMorning."

Someone else said: #ThisMorning so Emily Blunt is so important she couldn't wait a few minutes to be interviewed."

Another raged: "How rude to interrupt chocolate for Emily Blunt #ThisMorning."

Many were also left bemused that there was a delay on the video link.

One said: "Slightly strange that there’s a delay on a link to London; but no delay when going to LA. #Thismorning."

Someone added: "Live in LA but no delay whatsoever. #ThisMorning."

After Emily's interview was finished, Phil and his stand-in co-host Rochelle Humes returned to Steve to carry on hearing about festive chocolates.
